About
I grew up in a family of mariners and have skippered and worked on boats of varying sizes all of my life. At a young age I joined a local Boston yacht club where I started maintaining boats for fellow members. My youthful enterprise originally consisted of sanding and painting bottoms, washing, and detailing larger boats during afternoons after school and on weekends. Eventually, word of my newfound passion began to spread and soon I was asked by fellow members to serve as crew on several boat deliveries up and down the Eastern seaboard.
During my subsequent employment under a MerCruiser certified technician, I worked primarily on Mercruiser Alpha and Bravo stern drives for boats measuring less than 50 feet in length. As I advanced there, I became responsible for troubleshooting, winterizing and commissioning Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, and Detroit diesel inboard marine applications on larger vessels.
I have worked alongside many industry experts over the years and have inspected many boats. I have attended and participated in many international boat shows and seminars across the country, and have identified what I perceive to be both the positive characteristics and flaws inherent in each manufacturer’s product. My familiarity and experience with marine engines, and knowledge of various manufacturers’ products, qualify me to consistently deliver thorough, accurate marine survey reports which benefit my clients substantially.
